Enthusem Video Help

Enthusem Video Help We just added a small but great new feature to Enthusem - you may have noticed it. As of today, many of the option links on the dashboard show a small question mark image when you hover over the link. If you click that question mark, a video pops up providing help on the topic. I hope this is "helpful"!

QR Codes on Printed Enthusem Mailers

qrcode

You might already know what QR codes are but in case you don't, I'll tell you a little about them. QR codes were actually created back in 1994 as a way to allow the contents of the code to be decoded at a high speed (QR stands for Quick Response). Back then, the codes were used for tracking parts in vehicle manufacturing but today you'll see them just about everywhere...magazines, business cards, tradeshows and direct mail.

So how does it work? Well, it's easy! You can use any number of free QR code generators on the web to create one. You type in the URL, text, phone number or message you want the recipient to see when they translate it. And how do they do that? Well, you have to have a smartphone with a QR code app. Simply snap a picture of the QR code and it will translate the code into the message you're supposed to see. Pretty cool huh?

Well, we've made it even cooler. In fact, we've done something we haven't seen yet...QR codes on printed personal mail. And we make it very easy to do. In fact, you just have to check a box in your Enthusem account to tell us that you want QR codes printed on your mailers and we make it happen (go to Dashboard>Manage Templates and check the box at the bottom next to QR codes). We generate the QR code for you, automatically based on the attachment you select (this could be a PDF, image, website, etc) and print it on the inside top panel of your card, right underneath the pickup code - so the recipient can respond either way.

Even better...the QR codes are trackable, just like the pickup code. So when the code is scanned, you'll get an alert email letting you know. As of right now there is no extra cost to use the QR codes, we just thought it was a cool addition to the Enthusem card!
